Bachelor Health Science (Podiatry) (QUT), MAPodA, Accredited Podiatrist, Bachelor Science (UQ) firstname.lastname@example.org
Peter has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and knee pains in adults and children. He has extensive experience in sports podiatry and loves to tackle challenging cases where patients have struggled to find solutions.
Peter completed a Bachelor of Science (Biomedicine) at the University of Queensland as well as a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) at QUT. The Biomedical Science degree gives Peter a holistic understanding of musculoskeletal problems.
Peter is currently a QUT Staff Member and assists the Podiatry School with supervision of the final year sports podiatry clinics. Peter is a Queensland board member of the Australian Association of Podiatric Sports Medicine and helps direct the professional development of Sports Podiatry.
Peter is a product wear tester for ASICS, Mizuno and Nike and provides feedback on prototype shoes to the companies to help with the final design. This insight into the technology and designs that will be released one or two years into the future are invaluable when advising footwear for athletes.
Peter’s podiatry experience has been shaped by establishing two large group podiatry practices with his wife Rachel (Gladstone Podiatry and Brisbane Podiatry). Peter has mentored many podiatrists and students within the clinics over the years.
Peter is a firm believer that the best results come from simple and well thought out solutions that are executed well. Peter loves to tackle difficult problems by combining footwear selection, podiatry treatments, orthotic design, run technique training as well as working closely with other medical professionals to help people return to exercise pain free.
Peter and Rachel are kept busy managing their podiatry practices and attached retail stores as well as looking after their four young children William, Madeleine, Lucy and Abigail. However, Peter is still able to find some time for regular surfs, touch football, fishing and running.
